Our
Medicine Donation
Program
Gospel Medical Mission International is a Not-For-Profit
organization. Gospel Medical Mission International (GMMI), is a small
growing organization sponsored by people committed to helping the needy in
impoverished countries throughout the world. GMMI is not currently funded by major organizations and
relies on donations from caring individuals.
A. Supplying Medicine GMMI sends medicine, medical supplies, vitamins, and food
all free of charge to needy people in remote areas of impoverished countries. GMMI also provides medicine and medical supplies, at no
cost, to medical mission teams traveling to impoverished countries. These medical mission teams, with the aid of GMMI, provide
medical services to those in need. By establishing mission centers and forming partnerships
with local Christian churches in affected areas, GMMI is able to provide
assistance with free food, supplies, and education to needy people. GMMI mobilizes short-term mission groups to support these
established mission centers.
B. Getting Results To date, GMMI has provided more than $400,000 worth of
medications to many mission sites.
GMMI’s related cost was very nominal.
C. Who Donates GMMI receives medicine, medical supplies, and other forms of
donations from caring individuals. GMMI is exempt under section 501(c)3, and works only with U.S.
based nonprofit organizations.
Our vision for Poverty Medicine, supplies, and food go to the needy. Every year, hundreds of thousands of pounds of high quality
prescription drugs go completely unused and destroyed in the U.S. Jay Kim, co-founder of GMMI, has a different plan for this
valuable medication. “Our goal is make sure that those who desperately need this
medicine receive it, and that it doesn’t go waste,” says Jay Kim. The goal of GMMI’s Medicine Donation Program is to obtain
quality medications as donations or at a deep discount. GMMI wants to take care of transportation and
distribution to where it’s needed most. As an example, GMMI can purchase antibiotics for as low as
$20 a bottle for 500 pills. One bulk bottle can treat about 10 to 20 people.
The Food Factor Many people in impoverished countries suffer from
malnutrition, but many medications need to be taken with food. Their little children are without food. So in addition to medication, GMMI also works
to provide food to the patients.
Clinics in need of medicine and medical volunteers There are also many hospitals and clinics sponsored by
international charity organizations.
Many people get free medical services from these clinics. But often these clinics run out of supplies
due to huge demand. There are long lines
of patients waiting for their turn. Many
churches in the U.S.
send out short-term medical mission teams to impoverished countries every
year. GMMI works to provide medications
to these short-term medical mission teams, who provide medical services at the
hospitals and clinics. They also provide
medical services in the villages.
Volunteer with GMMI Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Gospel Medical Mission
International. GMMI is always looking for more people to help. No matter what you are able to donate --- time, money, or
services ---- GMMI benefits greatly from your generosity, and is thus able to
help more people. Your donation helps
improve the lives of people in need throughout the world. And, because GMMI is an all-volunteer group,
your money goes directly to helping others. Your prayers are also very welcome. To donate or volunteer, contact Jay Kim at jayakim@aol.com. Please make personal checks or money orders to; GMMI 309 Lakeview Dr. Mundelein,

GMMI springs from missionary work GMMI was founded in December of 2004 by Dr. Lisa S. Kim, M.D. While doing missionary work with her church, Dr. Lisa S. Kim
was so touched by the poverty she encountered, and the lack of what many
consider basics( running water, a simple home address, clothing, food and
medicines), she and her family made it a mission to found a group to help those
in need. Dr. Lisa Kim lives in Illinois
with her husband, Jay Kim. Jay Kim volunteered to go to Cambodia in 2005 for establishing
the first mission site. Now they spend their time and own resources helping those in
need in the States and abroad.
